Task 1

Gnome away from home

Design a poster advertising 3 garden gnomes who have got lost. A reward of £5.00 for each returned unharmed gnome will be a paid. Their names are Grumpy, Stumpy and Dumpy. Return address is 3 Willows End, Wiltshire, WE4 5TR, Tel: 0123456789.

Include:

• Page border
• Clipart
• Different font styles and sizes
• Paragraphs
• Bullet points
• Word art
• Pictures of gnomes from the internet

Then attach it to an email and send it to yourself

Task 2

ABCs of Me

You have been hired by the Creative Classroom Company to illustrate a poster to help children learn their ABCs. By happy coincidence, you and your first name are the subject of the poster!

1. First, open word and print your name vertically down the left side.
2. Next, choose a word that starts with each letter of your name. The word should describe something about you. Type those words horizontally across the page, using the letters of your name as the first letter of each descriptive word.
3. After you have listed your words, find on the internet an accompanying picture to illustrate each.
4. When you are finished, attach it to an email and send it to yourself.

Complain

Write an open letter of complaint to the Bexhill Observer, about the state for the roads, the litter in the parks or a topic of your choice.
